Pitch Report (Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba)

  • Only one T20I and a few women’s matches have taken place in this venue so far. The pitch seems to slow down as the innings progress. The spinners might enjoy bowling here, especially in the second innings. There will be some help on offer for seam bowlers too earlier on.

Dependable Trio for D3

  • Ishan Kishan (India): Ishan opened the batting for India in both ODIs so far and was the highest run-getter. He enjoyed batting in the power play. The wicket-keeper might again walk out to open the innings in the 3rd ODI. He could also fetch some points from behind the stumps. Easily a dependable pick for this match.
  • Romario Shepherd (West Indies) [Captain]: Romario Shepherd was the pick of the bowlers for the Windies in the last match. He used the conditions tremendously and made life difficult for Indian batters. He hits the deck hard and varies his pace and length smartly. He is also more than capable with the bat, so he would be our captain pick for this match.
  • Shai Hope (West Indies): If there is one current West Indies batter you could bank upon the most, it has to be Shai Hope. He is a brilliant striker of the ball and played a top innings in the last match. He would take that form in the 3rd ODI as well. Expect him to score well in the series decider.
