Imagine you are walking in a trendy restaurant. It is the most uptown you can think of. There is a center stage. There are round tables around it. People in suits and ladies in the most charming dresses. The experience is elevated by the champagne that flows through the night. There is a soft fragrant of rose that has settled like mist does on the morning waters of a lake. The lights dim. The curtain is raised. Slowly.

You see the ambient lights fade. There is a soft yellow spotlight illuminating the stage. Suddenly a sweet voice feels the restaurant. He sings softly. His voice feels like melted cheese. He takes the stage. Slowly the lights fill the stage and all the instruments come to light. Young blokes donning contemporary dresses come to light. They are very smooth with the instrument of their choice. Then you have a time of your life.

Sanam Puri and his band are reimagining the old classics. Here I am linking their channel. The videos are beautifully made. The music is reprised but they have respected the content. I have not shared a channel directly before. So this is the first one. It is hard to pick from the lot. They are good. Don’t go dissecting his voice for long, for at times it gives up, but the feel is not broken.

Here you go.
