Overview
The transaction volume of EOS and ETH Dapps went up this week. Due to the 42% growth of gambling Dapps, the total transaction volume of EOS Dapps saw a 29% growth and hit 156 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, the transaction volume of ETH Dapps received a 19% growth with gambling, high-risk, and marketplace Dapps altogether having double-digit growth. The overall transaction volume of ETH Dapps reached 53.5 million US dollars. CDP Portal and Uniswap drove the growth and indicated that Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is not only an idea, but more users and funds are actually involved, according to the statistics.
TRON Dapps’ transaction volume suffered a slight drop of 13% and went down to 73 million US dollars this week. All categories of Dapps in TRON saw slight decline except gambling Dapps. The trending high-risk ROI Dapp TronBank was attacked through its vulnerable contract, which allows attackers to deposit fake BTT tokens and withdraw the genuine ones. The security threats had soon become a concern for the community. “With the rapid growth of TRON Dapp ecosystem, the attackers would shift the target from ETH and EOS to TRON’s smart contract,” said the security team of RatingToken, the partner of RatingDapp.
Only TRON Dapps remained the growing momentum when speaking of active users. More than 151 thousand users interacted with TRON Dapps and marked an 11% growth. On the other hand, ETH Dapps saw only 43 thousand active users whereas EOS Dapps dropped to 180 thousand users.
From the perspective of user acquisition, TRON Dapps received a 7% growth and acquired 58,198 new users with the help of popular gambling Dapps. As for EOS, despite that Endless Game was very attractive to new users, the fast-growing Dapps Hash Baby and Lore Free seems to slow down its pace of obtaining new users this week. And therefore the overall EOS Dapps had only acquired 48,720 new users, 11 thousand less than last week.
