A Short Story

The smiling Detective strides into the neat motel room in his expensive overcoat. He looks around at the floral print on the wall, then to the girl lying on the floor. He bends down to take the crumpled note from her delicate dead hand, “I’m bored”. The Detective drops the note into a plastic bag as he slowly walks out the door, using a sleeve to wipe his face.

A short story as an exercise to tell a story in the least amount of words. Does it work? Let me know, leave a response.
