This past week the Raven team attended CES in Las Vegas, one of the largest consumer electronics industry trade shows in the world! CES hosted over 175,000 attendees, 4000 companies, 900 startups (Raven was one of them!) and 20,000 products on 2.75 million square feet of exhibit space!

We are so thrilled to share this excitement with everyone, here’s our little recap:

Awards

Raven left CES with 3 new awards to add to our trophy case. You can check them out below!

Some of our awards from CES!

CES Innovation Award

The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. Raven was recognized for innovation in the Vehicle Intelligence and Self-Driving Technology product category

PC Magazine — Best of CES

Of thousands of new products on display at CES, PC Magazine chose 21 new products and technologies from the show as their favourites. We’re so proud to announce that Raven was selected as a PC Magazine Best of 2018 product.

Gear Brain Editor’s Choice — Best Dashcam

Gearbrain chose 16 winners from CES, and selected Raven as their winner for best dash cam! Gearbrain wrote “We think Raven could be the ultimate car dash cam, a connected device that is both a camera and security system.”

Last Gadget Standing — Finalist

Last Gadget Standing — run as an informal popularity contest, where the audience votes for their favourite gadget based on noise! Only 10 of 100 gadgets made this list. Raven finished 2nd in a very close competition.

Media Coverage

Here are some of our favorite quotes:

Dan, a Raven engineer, speaking with @iamtallboy reporter.

“In my opinion, the current auto brain to beat is the Raven, basically a connected car brain in a box based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC. This nifty guy is about the size of an upside down rear-view mirror and mounts to your dashboard. While you can walk the floor at CES and hear about connected cars that offer more bells and whistles than the Raven, few if any will be shipping in Q1 of 2018 and none of them will smarten up your current ride.” — Oliver Rist, PC Mag

“We think Raven could be the ultimate car dash cam, a connected device that is both a camera and security system. Raven’s cellular connection alerts you via app of a potential break-in or even if someone drives into your car while it’s parked.” — Alistair Charlton, Gearbrain

“On the more practical front, the Raven from Klashwerks could be the ultimate add-on for your vehicle. This dashboard companion provides access to real-time driving info in your line of sight, and it features both internal and external cameras, mobile app integration, GPS and more.” — Mark Spoonauer, Tom’s Guide

“While most cars off the lot today have Android Auto or Car Play, they’re still lightyears away from what Raven can offer.” — Leon Hitchens, Digital Bound

Katie Linendoll Feature.

“It is the first and only comprehensive automotive technology solution that gives cars the intelligence and voice needed to proactively communicate with drivers and their families on how to be smarter, safer and more connected while on the road.” Katie Linendoll
