The Game Plan

Having a great game plan can make or break your Super Bowl tailgate party. Plan ahead and determine when you and your guests should arrive — we would recommend showing up a bit early so you can get the best spot! If you are worried about making sure you get to your location on time, you can use Raven’s Navigation feature with real-time driving and environmental information, so that you know what’s coming up. It is also a good idea to check your tailgate venue’s website for any rules or details that you should be aware of prior to arriving.

Stay Warm

This year’s Super Bowl will be taking place in U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, so it’s going to be pretty chilly outside — meaning it’s important to keep yourself warm for the long day ahead! A crucial part of staying warm is your attire — make sure to bundle up and cover all extremities. Pack a winter coat, hat, gloves, scarf and an extra sweater in case you need to layer up. It’s also important to make sure that you’re moving during the day. Staying active will keep your body warm and take your mind off the cold weather. At the end of the day, the best way to keep warm is by using a heat source. Portable outdoor heaters are easy to carry around and are great for outdoor use.

Deck out your Vehicle

Deck out your Vehicle

Show your team spirit with fun Super Bowl decorations around your vehicle! Whether it’s a flag that features your favorite team or color-coordinated accessories like tablecloths and cooler bags; decorations are a nice little touch that can help make the event feel more festive.

When you’re packing for the tailgate, make sure you’ve checked off essentials so you’re prepared for the long day of partying you’ve got ahead!

  • Portable bbq
  • Chairs
  • Blankets
  • Foldable table
  • Cooler with ice
  • Paper plates, cups & napkins
  • Speaker

For those of you who will be venturing away from your location throughout the day, make sure you’ve locked away valuables in your car. You can use smart car security devices like Raven to monitor your BBQ, your cooler, and all your other tailgate necessities via live-streaming once you’re in the bleachers at the game or exploring the venue.

Serve Great Food

What would the super bowl be without a whole pile of delicious food? A few easy, creative and fun party food recipes can be found below!

Roasted Jalapeno Poppers

These smoky cheese and the roasted jalapeños are a delicious and easy-to-eat appetizer! If you’re planning on cooking them up during the tailgate they can even be made on a portable grill!

Game Day Slow Cooker Chili

This hearty chili is sure to be a hit! Not only will it help warm you up on the big day, it’s also super easy to make and transport to the tailgate. We’d recommend using a travelling crockpot so you can cook the chili, and easily transport it to the game in the same slow cooker. Anything cooked in a slow cooker will keep warm for a few hours after unplugging — so your chili can stay warm all day even during transportation!

Snacks

For Philly Fans, Patriot themed Popcorn is a great snack food! It’s quick to make and relatively inexpensive. You can add your own Patriot themed touch to the popcorn by adding just a few ingredients!

For Eagles fans, these themed Rice Krispies are easy to make, and most importantly they’re very tasty. Make a batch as a special treat for your Eagles themed tailgate!

Have Fun

Most importantly have fun and make memories! You can capture the fun activities from the day using Raven’s dash and cabin cam! View, edit and share the HD videos directly from the Raven app.

Even though we’re based in Canada, we’ll still be tuning into #SBLII on Sunday! No Ravens playing this year, but we might be rooting for a fellow bird! #FlyEaglesFly!
