I’ve been thinking about the screenplays I’ve collected over the years, and it occurs to me you should have them. You’re studying the subject you said, and I’d be so happy to know they were in good hands. Let me know if you’d like to have them — I’m off to the dentist today, kicking and screaming, but it has to be done. Coming to the end of things is no fun, believe me.

Call me and we’ll set up a day that’s best for you. In the meantime, I’m writing my experiences with Tennessee [Williams] back in the 1940s, as you suggested, and I’m finding it’s really interesting to re-live those days. And I can tell stories that no one has ever heard before, which is fun.
