Sharing some takeaways from conversations that I’ve shared with my dear friend Bhaskar, the former Managing Director of Titan Company Limited and Chairman of Tata Vistara Airlines.

  • If an organisation has a culture which becomes acceptable, institutionalised and embraced by all, it will sustain itself forever.
  • For anyone converting their idea into a business, it is important to adopt a multiple stakeholder view, in terms of the real 360 degree impact they are expecting to create.
  • If you decide to play across the value chain, no particular task is more important than the other.
  • Humility in business is key — to accept the sphere of all that on doesn’t know and to accept your own incompetencies.
  • It is assumed that corporate leaders must ascribe to and be great at everything — from management, leadership, vision, capability, technical knowledge etc. But, in reality, successful leaders that build great organisations are simply those that can encourage true inclusiveness that supports effective strategy-building.
