Welcome to Raw Honey, a blog containing the thoughts and tales of Anisa Rawhani**, a bespectacled 23-year-old who’s in a near-constant state of outrage.

Time and again Anisa has learned that being outraged can be exhausting. But the alternative — of ignoring and effectively normalizing terrible forces, such as racism, xenophobia and misogyny — is far worse.

So, to keep her head from exploding — because Canadian health care only covers so much — Raw Honey was created as a space for hashing out ideas about race, gender, culture, politics and baby goats. Don’t worry though, with time this blog will likely grow to include baby alpacas, baby dik dik and basically any baby animal in a knitted sweater.
