These days, Instagram is the place to be seen if you’re trying to carve a career in modelling, and anyone who’s anyone takes way too much pride in their selfies and bikini vacay snaps. Between choosing the most flattering filter and posing in different angles to make us look better, we’ve all officially become self obsessed — and it sucks.

So it’s super refreshing to see a size 14 super confident Model.

Girls, this is Iskra Lawrence, a 25- year-old, from Worcestershire, England, who’s risen to insta-fame through refusing to retouch any of the snaps she shares with her 2.3 million fans. (Genius)

And now the blonde beauty, who has had her fair share of rants towards trolls, has spoken exclusively to Femail about body confidence, after she posted a slow-motion video where she expressed her thoughts to her haters.

In her conversation with Femail, Iskra, who was scouted when she was 13 after entering an ELLE woman search, stated:

“Instagram has actually chenged my life both personally and professionally. It is has given me a platform to help young women and men who battle with body-image and self-esteem, which were issues that I dealt with growing up. For so long, we’ve only seen one standard of beauty in the media, which has caused so many people, including myself, to feel un-worthy and think that their bodies are not good enough.”

Iskra’s natural curves meant she had a hard time finding a way into the modelling world. This has led her to try and encourage girls to love their body’s more:

“I’ve made it my mission to use the platform I have as a model and on Instagram to show people that this standard doesn’t exist. I want to show that every person deserves to feel beautiful and love themselves no matter what other people say or what they see in the media.”

Iskra, who took part in the #MyStory campaign on Instagram that highlights inspirational Women, was standing up for “anyone who has ever been called fat”, added:

“I decided to post this video not for myself, but for my followers as a way to show them that online bullying is not okay and that there is a way to stand up for yourself. Words can be hurtful, but they don’t stand a chance against a little bit of humour and self-worth.”

We’re huge haters of body shaming and LOVE Iskra’s message. Women should embrace their size and shape and focus on being happy and healthy. If you’re not happy with how you look, by all means change it, but never stress yourself out and alter your appearance because of the pressures of society. Remember, the majority of the images you see online are probably photoshopped anyway.

Oh, and even supermodels get cellulite.
