Why Living With Your Girlfriends Is A Huge Mistake

With the state of the current economy, it’s harder and harder for people to get on the housing ladder and renting alone can be costly. This means that more and more young adults are living with friends.

To most, the thought of living with your best friends can seem like the perfect life. You imagine hosting the coolest parties and having ‘sleepovers’ every night… But think again. It could very well end your friendships forever. Here’s why…

1. Cleanliness
There is nothing worse than coming home from a long day in work, looking forward to preparing your evening meal… only to be greeted by a mountain of dirty dishes. Then there’s the other communal areas like the living room and the bathroom which get over used and under cleaned! That myth that girls are cleaner than boys? It’s nothing more than a myth. Never ever presume that these beauties are all domestic goddesses.
2. Bills
There’s always someone who is short of cash that month yet manages to party every saturday. Quarrelling over bills is normally inevitable when you live in a house of girls and there’s always one person who tries to get out of paying her way by claiming she didn’t use any hot water that month… yeah right. But there is usually a control freak too who gets stressed over late payments. These two aren’t a good mix.
3. The bathroom in the morning
Every Woman treats her bathroom as an important part of her morning ‘get ready’ ritual. So when you’ve got a bunch of girls fighting to use it at the same time, prepare for fisticuffs. Not the ideal way to start your day!
4. Hormonal crazy bitches
This causes major problems. They say that girls who hang out together are hormonal together and this couldn’t be more true. When a few girls ‘time of the month’ are all synced with each others…look out.
5. Never expect peace and quiet
If you work from home, sharing can mess up your work schedule because they distract you by coming and going as they please. This means that a lot of the time you’ll end up confined to your bedroom just to be on your own for a while.
6. The boyfriends get in the way
It’s so annoying when you walk into a room and there’s someones boyfriend making themselves at home on your couch controlling the TV and enjoying a selection of the ‘house food’.
7. You are who surround yourself with
If the people you live with are’nt really going places with their lives, don’t expect yours to go anywhere either. If they’re a bunch of bitchy, couch potatoes then its more than likely your drive will die too and you’ll end up just like them.
8. You’ll drink too much
When you live with friends, especially girlfriends, drinking becomes a regular bad habit. Even if you didn’t plan on having a vino at the end of your day, if one of your roomies has had a shit day and wants to unwind, 9 times out of 10 you’ll end up joining her. Next thing you know you’re fat.
9. Friends become thieves
Just because you’re the ‘best of friends’ doesn’t mean your stuff is theirs. Nothing infuriates a woman more than finding her favorite dress gone from her wardrobe.
10. Friendships fall apart
It strains and evens ruins friendships. Living with someone makes you see them for what they really are. When you spend too much time with someone it can strain relationships. And when you find yourself making less effort to plan stuff together in favor of siting in front of the TV, it won’t be long until your friendship is completely gone.

Living alone gives you a sense of freedom and pride. The ability to do what you want to your home and decorate it to exactly your own taste. You get to look forward to coming home after a long day knowing it’s a clean and peaceful abode for only you to relax in.
Don’t get me wrong you go through phases of loneliness when you miss having constant company ….just get a dog or a boyfriend instead.
