Neo-Romanian residential building

The “Casa D” project is a restoration project that aims to restore and preserve the architectural style of a neo-Romanian residential building. Because of the historical values of this structure and the surrounding area, we will maintain as much as possible the originality and aesthetic appeal proposed over a hundred years ago by its architect.

Generic spaces in this particular building have the unique ability to stand out from the rest. They are abstract, capable of adapting and transforming due to high ceilings and can be designed uniquely. This flexibility makes them an attractive feature of many modern cities, especially those with a unique architectural language, such as Saxon cities.

During the assessment of the condition of the architectural elements, it was noted that many showed signs of repair. This was not surprising as many objects are old and would have been subject to wear and tear over the years. However, what will be interesting will be the type of repair that will be used.

Instead of simply replacing damaged parts with new ones, the original creators of these objects have used patch repairs over the years. This technique involves repairing damaged areas by sewing or attaching new pieces of material to the existing object. This type of repair is usually less durable than a replacement repair but preserves the original integrity of the thing.
