Sketchup our program of choice

SketchUp is the program of choice when it comes to architecture and visualization. That’s because modeling with millimeter precision as well as later texturing and lighting is all possible with this program.
Countless tools are put online by the community which makes our work much easier.

RP visualization process

The process at Raymond and Partners is as follows:
First, the project is modeled with millimeter precision and the designer works on the design of the project. Then the complete project is prepared for texturing. The whole model must be clean of hidden lines and unused faces. Everything must be a closed model so that no errors occur during texturing and rendering. For texturing, we use the tool ThrouPaint from FreedoTools. With this tool, the texturing and the so-called mapping is precise.
After texturing, each light source must be set in the 3D scene and assigned with a so-called IES file. Which determines the course of light on the reflecting object.

Rendering — the magic of light shadows and

After everything is prepared in SketchUp, all materials are assigned and all lights are set and you can already start the render engine. That means calculating a real picture that shows all the information about light and shadow. Therefore we use enscape3D and Unreal Engine 5.

A project mostly will be divided into three complex stages: concept, design, and visualization.

Each stage has its challenges and it always take a lot of involvement from the team.
