The context

The client was Wiz, the project was in July 2017 and my role was ui and ux designer of the program and the system.

The idea was to create a new experience for a company wide engagement campaign. The Desafio Beta website comes to encourage employees to create startups with the goal to improve their own work environment and interact with other employees.

Sitemaping

I usually start the design process with low fidelity sketches and designing the ideal process. This is the way I iterate through many design options quickly just to get a notion of how the project will work.

  • Were made 12 screens to the website.
  • We choose the “universe and launch theme” to work on the interface because of the startup way of thinking that the company has.
  • There was 2 types of users in the system: the sponsor and the entrepreneur.

Wireframes & Sketching

At the beginning of my design process I created wireframes for testing purposes.

  • The prototyping part was high fidelity because of the public i wanted to reach. they need a richer interface to help them understand better what is going on with the platform, once they aren’t familiar with technology and they're really attracted by the visual.
  • I used Adobe XD, Photoshop and Illustrator to develop the interface.

UI Design

Once I tested out all usability mistakes, I started designing the final screens in Adobe Xd.

  • i tried to use a modern visual line to attract the attention of the user that didn’t have so much interest in digital products.
  • I used Adobe programs to design the screens and Xmind to follow some journey maps.
  • We needed to put some gamification processes like add some e-commerce and created a digital coin to the platform engaging more users to use it.

Results of the project.

We created an intuitive and clean platform for those who has not so familiar with technologies and also engaged them to a new challenge with gamification processes. We had some problems with the technology provider, but we overcome that making simple adjustments on the interface. 1800 users got access to that, 6 screens were created and 43% engagement increased to reach the goals of the company on that year.
