Entry for women in the ux scenario.

The idea came after one of the members of the project, Suzi Sarmento, had a chat about career in a Ladies Wine and Design event. Some women shared their interest in the UX area and pointed out the lack of courses in Brasília on the subject. So, she decided to put the idea into practice to share knowledge and experience in the area.

Together we are stronger 💪

The goal was to convey the essence of the UX process to help low-income women discover a new career. The cost of the course was symbolic, just to cover the costs of material and also help 5 fellows, who could not spend on enrollment or transportation until the event.

With the help of 4 more designers who decided to face this journey together: Polli, Thaís, Juliana and I managed to contribute with more social balance in the technology market in Brasília. The course was totally non-profit and we have a partnership with COMEQUETALA, which offered the venue. We are in the second edition and we have already helped more than 40 women in the market in Brasília.

"Having participated in the ux immersion workshop for women certainly helped me to win this spot! Thank you so much for the work and for sharing knowledge with us!" — Testimony of one of the course participants after starting a new job. 🤟

Last update

As a last update of the project, Imersão UX is preparing to be remote and we are participating in events such as the partnership with New School in a remote talk about the Impact of UX at different levels for a product with the guys who are entering the ux market and giving opportunity with quality education for the periphery.

So we reached the final point 🤟
Thanks for reading.
