Hello, Razor fam!

August has been another busy month for us, as we worked towards launching the Razor Network’s Incentivised Testnet. We also worked on the further development of RazorScan V2 and Razor-Go to offer our users and stakers the best-in-class service.

Read on to know more about what the Razor Network team has been up to behind the scenes over the month of August.

Smart Contracts — Razor Network

The team is now one step closer to the launch of the Incentivised Testnet. We have added a bunch of features to the testnet.

Our developer team is currently evaluating the robustness and security aspects of the testnet through rigorous testing. We’re paying special attention to the security analysis to ensure that all the smart contracts used by Razor Network’s community follow the industry standards in terms of safety.

New features include:

  • A new state has been added that will allow the block proposer to confirm the block to improve the protocol's security.
  • A new variable called ‘power’ has been added to the code base, which has to be initialized while creating a job. This variable will allow us to know the job feeds’ accuracy requirements and help us process jobs in a more optimized and time-efficient manner.

There have been quite a few updates in the smart contracts to ensure that the cost of running the Razor Network’s Oracle node is as optimized and gas efficient as possible.

RazorScan V2 — An Explorer

The developers are constantly working hard to enhance the User Interface and User Experience of RazorScan V2, an extremely easy-to-use and intuitive GUI for developers.

We have added PolygonScan and Tenderly support for every transaction performed by the staker. This will help in the debug of any transaction if such a need arises. Stakers can click on the buttons provided in the ‘Explore’ column to check out all the details.

For the latest version of RazorScan V2, the faucet Page has been deprecated. Prospective stakers who wish to run a node can now contact the Razor team directly to obtain testnet $RAZOR tokens.

Razor-Go — A Command Line Interface

Razor-Go is the most critical component of the Razor Network. Rigorous testing is being performed to ensure its quality and make it more intuitive and user-friendly for stakers.

Our team has abstracted the difficulties, such as generating go-bindings, which users might encounter while installing the Razor-Go client. It is entirely dockerized now, and users can install it easily just with a single command.

Razor Network’s Participation in UniFarm Cohort 20

Razor Network participated in UniFarm Cohort 20, providing another opportunity for crypto enthusiasts to stake tokens from just one project and earn tokens of four different projects as staking rewards.

In the UniFarm Cohort 20, users can earn $RAZOR (Razor Network), $DEFX (DeFinity), $ORO (OpenDeFi) and $UFARM (UniFarm) tokens by staking $RAZOR.

The pool was announced on 27th August and went live on 31st August. Within just 3 hours of the pool launch, the pool limit of $250,000 for $RAZOR was filled up by our community members, making our latest venture into the Unifarm Cohort a grand success like last time.

We are extremely humbled by the faith that our community has consistently shown us. Your support inspires us to put in the extra effort in our pursuit of creating something that will make a difference to the world.
