Razor Network partners with MOAR to provide decentralized Oracle data to power the smart contracts of MOAR’s cross-chain DeFi protocol
MOAR is a derivative-aware, capital-efficient, cross-chain decentralized lending platform. MOAR brings the best of traditional finance instruments, such as options and interest rate swaps, into the DeFi world to create a borderless lending platform. Building on maturing cross-chain protocols, MOAR seeks to address constraints which increase the barrier of entry into DeFi, such as high gas costs and limited asset liquidity, and create a one-stop, one-click DeFi platform for mass adoption.
Accessing reliable and secure price feeds for various crypto assets is essential for the proper functioning of MOAR’s DeFi platform. While a range of centralized oracle service providers are available, such solutions are not inherently trustless, as they are prone to data hacks, server failures, and the fallacies that come with human interference. A completely robust and reliable DeFi platform would require a decentralized oracle network, free from the influence of any centralized authority, as the provider of verified real-world price feeds.
MOAR has chosen Razor’s decentralized oracle network to provide reliable, secure and verified data feeds to smart contracts that bring to life its array of DeFi applications.
Razor Network implements an end-to-end decentralized and trustless Oracle network. Powered by a secure PoS consensus mechanism, Razor ensures maximum game theoretical security by rewarding honest nodes and punishing the malicious ones. Furthermore, Razor’s oracle solution is blockchain agnostic, and has already been integrated by several major DeFi and blockchain projects, including Polygon, Elrond, Litentry and Injective Protocol.
MOAR will use Razor’s oracle network to obtain price feeds of specific crypto assets. Moreover, since Razor’s solution is blockchain agnostic in nature, it will enable MOAR to generate a variety of cross-chain derivatives beyond simply retrieving price feeds. For example, Razor’s compatibility with blockchain networks such as Polygon, Elrond, and Algorand will allow MOAR to retrieve specific data from a multi-chain (and layer two) environment.
“Razor allows MOAR to access data from the real-world and from non-Ethereum chains. Both these sources of information are crucial to MOAR’s goal to be a cross-chain lending platform, allowing to fine-tune its risk parameters and provide proper asset valuation.” — John Liu, Project Lead of MOAR.
The partnership will also enable MOAR to access off-chain data points relative to derivatives’ risk calibration through the Razor oracle network. Parameters for risk tolerance require off-chain data points, such as interest rates, FX rates, and even equity index levels. Through this integration, MOAR will be able to feed the off-chain data points rapidly into its platform, calibrating derivative and risk scores across chains efficiently.
Speaking about the partnership, Hrishikesh Huilgolkar, CEO of Razor Oracle Network, said, “In the exponentially growing DeFi industry, MOAR is well set to become a distinguished player. Razor is glad that MOAR has chosen our decentralized oracle network to provide reliable and secure real world data to bring to life their various DeFi offerings. This is a testament to Razor’s growing popularity and repute among both established and upcoming DeFi players. We are hopeful that our association will help MOAR achieve their vision effortlessly and create a world class DeFi experience for traders.”
MOAR is a derivative-aware, cross-chain, and operationally safe lending protocol embedded with accessible financial tooling and derivatives primitives. Built on the latest version of Solidity, MOAR can handle ERC-721 (the token for NFTs and frequently used for derivatives), and fully supports UNION Finance’s C-OP instrument for collateral optimization natively. MOAR will emphasize a user-friendly front-end, replete with features like one-click capital optimized borrowing and yield strategy access, a proprietary liquidation program, embedded derivative support, DEX integration, structured credit products, interest rate swaps, term deposits, and cross-chain connections to BSC and Polkadot.
About Razor Network
Razor Network is a decentralized Oracle network, which provides secure and reliable real-world data feeds for various blockchain based applications and services, such as Decentralized Finance, Identity, Insurance, Prediction Markets, and so on. Razor’s performance is superior and more secure than traditional centralized oracle services, as Razor relies on a network of Validators for verifying data authenticity and ensures maximum game theoretical security. Moreover, Razor is blockchain agnostic, and can be easily integrated by developers working on a range of blockchain networks.
