Decentraland joins RCN: credit loans on virtual real estate

We are proud to announce our alliance with Decentraland, the blockchain-based virtual reality platform where users can acquire virtual land to create and monetize their content.

Within Decentraland’s public virtual world (ruled by open standards), users can purchase land through the Ethereum blockchain and create an immutable record of ownership.

The project has strong backers among cryptocurrency enthusiasts, gamers and real estate developers.

With this agreement, RCN will soon implement its credit protocol to Decentraland so that users that own plots of land, as well as content and institutions created in it, can take and receive loans within this virtual world. Both companies will start to develop the virtual loans network in Q2 2018.

“We’re really excited to work with the RCN team. Their project is one the most interesting ventures made on crypto and I believe that, once combined with ours, it will bring great value and open some really cool opportunities to the Decentraland ecosystem”- states Ariel Meilich (Decentraland’s Project Lead).

This announcement with last week’s Terraform auction event, when users contributed with MANA (Decentraland’s underlying token) to buy land from the Genesis City or District.

RCN exchange performance adjustments

As you may know, the Ethereum blockchain has received an unusual amount of transactions in the last couple of weeks.

This exceptional transaction delay caused that some of the RCN credit loans could not be funded. Whenever a certain lending transaction remained pending, all actions taken by the same lender also failed due to a larger nonce.

In order to avoid this kind of problem from now on, the development team has made a few improvements in the RCN exchange transaction generation process, managing the nonce of all transactions and, on the other hand, calibrating the gas price setting model used so far.

These upgrades will certainly improve the RCN exchange performance by reducing the transactions, withdrawals and collecting fail rates.

Never miss one of RCN’s updates!
