Weekly recap: Steven Nerayoff joins as new advisor plus Kyber Network partnership
Kyber Network: a strategic exchange alliance
The Singapore-based crypto exchange Kyber Network has sealed its partnership with RCN this week. Their protocol facilitates instant cryptocurrency conversion and guarantees liquidity through rich payment APIs and contract wallets, thus processing payments from any token.
This strategic alliance with Kyber Network will promote liquidity of RCN tokens in the blockchain ecosystem, providing the conversion services necessary for credit exchanges and wallet providers to integrate the RCN protocol and join the RCN network. The initial market focus of this collaboration will be on Asia’s emerging blockchain space, including China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, India, and Indonesia.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to grant more users access to Kyber Network’s token conversion service and to help RCN pave the way for greater financial inclusion” — stated Kyber Network’s CEO and cofounder Loi Luu.
Both companies are planning to pilot-test and further advance the integration of new RCN network agents during Q2 2018.
Ethereum co-creator Steven Nerayoff joins RCN
Steven Nerayoff has just joined RCN as our advisor and we can’t be more excited. Nerayoff is a prolific entrepreneur having founded several successful companies through his firms Maple Ventures and Alchemist Ventures, both focused on blockchain-based projects, payment systems, consumer Internet companies and socially conscious enterprises.
He is widely known as the co-creator and token sale architect of Ethereum from its earliest days, working in the initial legal framework and co-drafting its crowdsale model.
Nerayoff currently serves as CEO of Cloudparc Inc, an optics-based street parking solution. He has also advised other crypto projects such as Factom, Lisk, ZCash and Bancor.
Nerayoff’s inclusion in RCN’s board of advisors will bring in lots of expertise and priceless experience to expand global lending and promote financial inclusion worldwide.
Next steps
During the next couple of weeks, we’ll make some great announcements on the RCN network development.
First, our dev team will deploy the network agents directory, where contracts and addresses approved by RCN are going to be listed.
Then, we’ll run the cosigner agents audits, demarcating the types of cosigners and their management tools.
Finally, we’ll start working on the NanoLoanEngine documentation, which will be soon publically available on GitHub in order to integrate the RCN protocol easily.
