RSK alliance: the RCN credit protocol will be deployed over a smart contracts platform powered by the Bitcoin Network

Awesome news! We have partnered with the open-source smart contract platform RSK (formerly known as RootStock) to expand our peer-to-peer credit solutions using new Blockchain implementations.

RSK offers a 2-way peg to Bitcoin that rewards Bitcoin miners via merge-mining. It’s the first open source smart contract platform secured by the Bitcoin Network that allows near instant payments and higher-scalability within the crypto ecosystem.

We will enable RCN smart contracts to run on the RSK “federated” Bitcoin sidechain, using this 2-way peg technology. We think that the RSK-RCN partnership has the potential to build disruptive and more efficient global lending solutions and grant faster payments and higher scalability, towards real financial and social transformation.

With this partnership, RCN also becomes an official member of the brand-new RSK Federation, joining a collective of more than 20 Blockchain-based companies who will collectively secure the sidechain funds.

The RCN-RSK alliance will not just add value to RSK sidechain but also enhance credit lending and online payments traceability, creating a more efficient global lending solution and granting higher scalability, towards real financial and social transformation.

We’re very excited to partner with RCN as we share their vision of building a more inclusive financial system by putting Blockchain technology at the service of social transformation. Having RCN over RSK technology will allow billions of people currently unbanked to have access to a cheaper and more democratic credit network.” — stated Henry Sraigman (RSK Head of Business of Development).

RSK has recently unleashed the Genesis block that kicks off the MainNet Network (codenamed Bamboo) bringing the first smart contract platform secured by the Bitcoin Network to life.

The RCN engine documentation is now live on GitHub

Our development team has just released the RCN engine documentation, allowing any company or individual willing to integrate the RCN protocol to understand how it actually works.

You can check the full engine documentation on GitHub. This documentation covers the NanoLoan Engine, a Basic Cosigner and a Basic Oracle, adding RCN network.

We will keep you updated with new development updates next week. Stay tuned!

Never miss one of RCN’s updates!
