From Epcot to Earth Day, Orlando is buzzing with things to do! Grab your calendar because spring has sprung and it’s filled with activities!

An Ode to the Mouse — Through May

Running through the end of May, Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Show is in full swing and it is a sight to behold; fresh food and beverages (which rivals the fall’s premier Food & Wine Festival) punctuated by breathtaking topiaries, florals, and the ever-expanding Butterfly Garden. If you have not yet experienced Epcot’s latest additions, be sure to try the reimagined Soarin’ and popular new Frozen attraction… if you have already experienced these, then you’ve beat me to it. Tell me all about it. 😜

A Wine Experience — April 5th

Do you swirl the wine glass or chill? Do you hold by the stem or the base? Enjoying wine does not need come with knowledge and neither does this event at Tim’s Wine Market on Ivanhoe: The Educated Consumer — Getting the Most out of the Wines You Drink. This local wine retailer cares more than anyone I know about not only the wine he sells, but about the stories behind them. Creating an unrivaled wine experience in a store right off of North Orange Avenue, Tim’s Wine Market brings everything that is missing from purchasing a bottle of carefully crafted art. Be sure to stop by and learn a few things on April 5th.

The Art of Calligraphy — April 12th

Paper Goat Post is the epitome of shopping small and shopping locally. One of the premier stationary stores in downtown Orlando, twin sisters Megan and Cedar have made a name for themselves, for sure. Recently, they have hosted a number of events in their quaint shop on Ivanhoe — learning to pen calligraphy is one of them. I encourage you to join the sisters, and other like-minded individuals on April 12th to learn the subtle art. Here’s a link to sign up for Intro to Modern Calligraphy.

Easter Brunch — April 16th

Let us not forget about Easter! Spencer’s at Hilton Orlando is hosting a beautiful Easter Brunch on April 16th. Ticket information is available at HiltonOrlando.com — you can also check out their beautiful menu. From salads to omelet stations, Spencer’s will be sure to excite the taste buds!

Celebrate the Earth — April 22nd

The 12th Annual Central Florida Earth Day takes place at Lake Eola Park on April 22nd. Hosted by Vegetarians of Central Florida and presented as a “Vegan Event,” this Earth Day celebration includes speakers, presenters, and activities that promote healthier, active lifestyles.
