We’re winding down the summer season, but there’s more than enough summer heat to spare!

Main Streets Restaurant Week — August 4th thru August 12th

If you haven’t heard of Main Streets America, it’s time do some research; this national program offers the ability for cities across the country to apply for funding to revamp various neighborhoods and districts. Why should you care? Because many of downtown Orlando’s neighborhoods are nationally accredited as a Main Street.

This year, Orlando Main Streets is hosting their annual Main Streets Restaurant Week — a week long event in which you can dine at various establishments within Orlando’s Main Street neighborhoods at fixed price points “...of $5, $10, $20 and $30 depending upon lunch or dinner, and the restaurant’s normal price point.” No need to sign up. Art After Dark — August 5th

Networking doesn’t get better than fancy food, incredible art, and opportunities to meet local artists. Be sure to check out the City Arts Factory’s “Art After Dark” and get engaged with your downtown arts community. More information is available here!

Opera del Sol Launch Party — August 7th

Looking for new experiences in Orlando? Consider attending the Opera del Sol’s Launch Party for a chance to learn about a passionate group of artists. Their mission? Rooftop Yoga: Sunrise Session — August 8th

Summer rain got you down? Grab some friends and enjoy Rooftop Yoga: Sunrise Session! Mornings tend to be beautiful this time of year, so take advantage of the clear skies. The session starts promptly at 7am on Tuesday, August 8th. Arrive early, bring a mat, and enjoy the sunshine! Click here for tickets and more information.

First Friday Salsa — August 11th

¡A bailar, Orlando! Grab your tickets to Salsa Downtown! Enjoy a fun night moving to the sounds of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and more at Downtown Orlando’s largest rooftop space, The Balcony Orlando! One hour dance lesson included. Arrive by 7:45pm to participate in the class led by Salsa pros beginning at 8pm sharp. With dancing, mingling, and a cash bar throughout the night, this will definitely be an event you won’t want to miss. Click here for more information!

Rooftop Zumba — August 14th

Adults-Only Science Night Live — August 19th

Get your tickets before this one sells out! Enjoy a fun night at the Orlando Science Center with friends and loved ones. You’ll have opportunities to conduct lab experiments, watch films, and of course, savor some tasty beverages! More information and tickets available here.

Lakeridge Winery Annual Grape Stomp — August 20th

Have you ever wanted to stomp on some grapes? Here’s your chance! Lakeridge Winery is hosting their 23rd Annual Grape Stomp and the whole family is invited to participate! Music, tours, and tastings will round out this day nicely for anyone who attends. More information and directions available here.

Eclipse Viewing Event — August 21st

On August 21st will be the first total eclipse since 1979 — cool, right? Head over to the Planetarium at Seminole State College. They’re hosting a viewing event in which guests will have the opportunity to safely view the eclipse. More information available here.

Rooftop Yoga — August 22nd

Head back to The Balcony on August 22nd for an evening session of Rooftop Yoga; instructors rotate each session, but the level of energy, enthusiasm, and love is boundless. Click here for your tickets.
