Every Friday we like to spend some time working on ourselves and reflecting on the inspiration that helps us grow. We have compiled a list of our favorite links from the last month to help you get inspired. If any of these move you like they moved us, lets talk about collaborating on a similar project. Enjoy!

Design Trends

See more cinemagraphs (and more trends)

These design trends intrigued our Creatives, and gave some insight into some unique new ideas. Playing around with cinemagraphs (like the one above, a still image with one moving component) is something we’re exploring 😉.

How to Hack Your Brain

This Medium article helped the whole Big Vision team by providing us some scientifically-backed tips and tricks to staying focused. We’ve been big into inspiration that keeps us stress-free and focused so this article was right up our alley!

Year in Film 2016

Visit Delve’s Year in Film site

This site sparked intrigue amongst our Creatives and developer with the unique layout, and of course, movie poster redesigns. We actually started creating our own movie poster redesigns which you should keep an eye out for, they’ll be posted soon!

Daily Renders

Behance

The renders linked above are not only beautiful, but a great inspiration to our design team. The shapes, lighting, and details captured attention from everyone in the office—not just Creatives. The whole group had a discussion about these cool works of art!

The Encounter Collection

This moving storyline showcased its product in a very emotional way. The camera follows a boy through stages of his life, showing the generational significance of passing down a bag along with words of wisdom from father to son. Copywriters and videographers everywhere should check this out.

How to Build Microinteractions in React

Our developer loves React, (he even got us plugged into the upcoming meet up), and thinking through even the smallest details of a site. Checking out new ideas in React was inspired by the idea of adding some microinteractions into his code. Even just the slightest “cool” feature can set a site apart!

Matchpoint

What’s the last thing you would think to redesign? …Matches perhaps? This product redesign interested our whole team by the sheer idea that they were redoing something almost obsolete. The team behind this project created beautiful matches with sleek packaging that made each of us desire to own something we have no need for—now that’s good design!

13 Things You Should Give Up If You Want To Be Successful

This article is a great read but much easier said than done. Reading this together, lead our team into a big discussion on what we could feasibly do to de-stress and clear our heads. We agreed to each put our phones away for at least an hour at the end of the day to focus on something else and re-evaluate how that helped us at the end of the week. A step in the right direction!

The Alchemist

http://www.12monthly.com/#/may-2016/

The designer behind these beautiful works of art was inspired by a quote in The Alchemist, “No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central roll in the history of the world, normally without realizing.” He used this inspiration to recreate ordinary objects infused with alchemy-inspired objects such as flasks, funnels, and test tubes. Combining objects that have no relation can often create something wonderfully poetic. His reason for the funnel-inspired-clock pictured above is, “Time funnels through.”
