Campaign Launch: Noble Roots Kitchen

For the last several months my classmates and I have been conducting research on food deserts. We have interviewed food desert residents, consulted with nonprofit organizations and worked through different phases of the design thinking process. Today we launched our fundraising campaign to bring our business idea to fruition. Our goal is to launch a catering business with a social impact. For each meal purchased by a business, we will provide a subsidized meal to a food desert community. Research has shown that putting a grocery store in a food desert alone won’t solve the problem. Education is key to changing food buying behavior. This short video offers an overview of our project and the goals of this campaign:
