Cyberpunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that features advanced science and technology, in an urban, dystopian future. Cyberpunk is a culture with a quite distinct style; as it is extremely tech-literate.
Cyberpunk has spread to all forms of media, such as movies, television, anime, video games, comics, music and art everywhere. As a designer seeking inspiration, all you have to do is look. Might I also mention that Cyberpunk has influenced the fashion world, architecture and philosophy too (can you believe that!). The sub-genre will continue to evolve, and it has become much more than what it was when it began. Thus, it will slowly but surely become more relevant as we move forward and the world becomes more and more technologically advanced with time.
