If you could choose anything, what would it be?

Immediately, this question fails us. Choose anything for what? To do what?

It’s as inane as asking someone about their favorite color.

We also tell stories when we answer these broad questions. We play a part, become a simplified dramatic personae acting out our idealized self in an idealized world.

What would you choose?

World Peace.

This ugly puppy, just to show how much I care.

It’s subconscious, not quite a lie. No aspiration truly is.

But it doesn’t help us find one another.

And it’s not truly real.
