Sandy beaches, building sand castles, searching for beautiful purple sea shells. Avoiding the mushy balls of crude oil that wash up on the shore. Desert camping and dune surfing. Grey skies, narrow streets with tall row houses. Cobblestone streets and buildings that are hundreds of years old. Enormous fields of tulips bursting with color. The whoosh of the hot air balloon as we float across the African savanna; the number of giraffes, lions, zebras we see below us is breathtaking. Summer afternoon thunderstorms. Climbing, hiking, exploring in the mountains. Reading in the shade of tree. Campfires and s’mores. Star-filled nights.
