Product management is a broadly used term, partially because a product can be anything from a service to a software or any solution that helps customers. At the base level PM’s find the right product that needs to be built to serve customer needs and sit at the intersection of user experience, technology and business.

While the PM’s role is to understand the customer problems and what the right product is, a PM will likely also collaborate with:
Engineers to develop a solution that is reliable and scalable
UX & UI designers to design all aspects of the user’s interaction with the product
Product marketing on how the product is positioned and distributed
