Holiday shopping is always a pain. Figuring out whom you need to buy for, and what you want to buy is always a struggle. I imagine giving in the past was much easier, when most people were in need of things. Today, items beyond your imagination are just a click away and can be delivered to your doorstep within a matter of days.

Rather than coming across needed items, we are on the hunt for what others want like trendy gadgets and gizmos that stand out from other gifts. It’s not only about what is in style, but what is abstract, unique, and useful. This kind of shopping is easiest in stores in which you can browse different items and hopefully come across one that stands out.

Today, a lot of people are avoiding stores and shopping online. Searching for interesting gifts online can be difficult. It’s a lot easier to do in person when you can look over multiple items at once rather than a few on a screen. The real difficulty comes when deciphering quality when shopping online. The rise of services like squarespace and shopify have allowed smaller niche retailers to sell their goods online. Now the struggle is finding these retailers. Here are a few suggestions…
