We made it!

Spring grad school is done.

I can’t believe that it’s already done with the second semester. I still remember the start of this program walking in thinking we would learn programs, and logos and layouts and bam did we do that and a million other things. Yet, let’s talk about the real lessons. The ones that happen at 2 am when you think you have nothing left but you do have 10% more. When you are working all day on a project and then have to start over. When your group is in chaos, your life is in chaos, you are moving, your dog just threw up in the car and your parents are getting divorced.
That is the real work and where the real motivation comes from. It’s in the moments of absolute distress that you find what you really have in you and that’s where the magic happens.

This program has taught me more about myself in 8 months then I ever thought possible. From never knowing anything about adobe to now knowing most of the basics and even a few tricks! To learning code, to making a product, to printing, to pitching to a real client, to always taking feedback and forever growing. To creating work you are proud of and that you love. To never giving up most importantly on yourself and the life you are choosing. This program made me so grateful for all the endless help and support and knowing to never suffer in silence and that everyone wants to see you thrive.

As we gear up for the actual final push of maymester and then summer session we fire up the engine once more. Gather as a community and tribe and remember to always still laugh and have fun. This program will always push you but you always have the option to give it all you have and know that this is just a chapter in your life and you have the rest of your life to write the book.
