5 Injuries Jackie suffered while being dead evil on the sets

Martial arts, actor, director, producer, singer and stuntman — Jackie Chan was the most active stuntman in the world. Till now he has done more than hundred movies as an actor. Jackie Chan has had a painful career while having stunts. On the occasion of Mr. Chan’s birthday we at Reacho have come up with the most spectacular stunt injuries he had on sets.

1. Leg injury in Hard to Die

He got his leg hurt with his lower body between two colliding vehicles. The result was complicated comminuted fractures in both legs.

2. Shoulder injury in Police Story 3

In Police Story 3, he was supposed to dodge an approaching fluttering helicopter. However, the aircraft struck him on his right shoulder. Mr. Chan ripped his shoulder muscles and remained hanging until he was rescued by the crew. A year later while filming ‘City Hunter’ he again dislocated his shoulder.

3. Drunken Master

Jackie Chan’s eyesight was three times in danger. In ‘Drunken Master’ his brow ridge was injured, and he nearly lost an eye. It again caught him in 2003 while filming of ‘The Medallion’.

4. Dragon Lord

‘Dragon Lord’ was written and directed by Jackie Chan. He injured his chin during a stunt, which made it difficult to say his lines at the time of shot and direct the film.

5. Rumble in the Bronx

While filming Rumble in the Bronx, Jackie broke his ankle jumping from a bridge to a hovercraft. He was told not to walk on his injured ankle by doctors, but Jackie didn’t want to stop the shooting so he designed special sneakers to cover the broken ankle to show everything was normal.

6. Jackie Faked an Injury for Bruce Lee

When Jackie Chan was asked about his best story ever, he splurged out the incident that he had with the greatest martial artist of all time “Bruce Lee”. He idolized him frantically throughout his youth and on the sets of a movie he got a chance to be in the same frame with him. The scene was supposed to have Bruce Lee fighting off thugs with a stick and Jackie was among them. The scene began to reel and Jackie lunged at Bruce Lee, Lee shot a pose and hit with the struck that narrowly missed him. Instead of telling the truth Jackie choose to act as if he was hurt, so as to seek attention from Bruce lee.
