For a lot of you who don’t know, React Native is a beautiful JavaScript library for building user interfaces, cross-platform mobile applications. Over the years after it’s release, React Native has seen numerous growth in a very short amount of time all over the world.

React Native Nigeria is a community which started in Abuja on January 2019, with aims to improve the quality of any developer also striving to ease the learning process for any newbie across Nigeria and one day the world 🌍

Close your eyes and try to look back to when you first started learning how to code, for most it was a tedious experience, having no idea what to do, where to start, and most importantly where to go to seek answers to errors and bugs, Overall the experience wasn’t rosy, with this being an issue how then does React Native Nigeria come in? simple;

Hosting Meetups

Tech meetups are the best place to be, not just because you belong to the community and you feel obligated to be there, NO! Tech meetups are a great place to actually learn something new.

You can only do so much on your own, but during events like ours, you get to hear what other developers have been up to and better ways of performing daily tasks you usually do.

Networking

Who doesn’t like to network, and in this part of the world we are in, you can not but constantly network, get to know and meet new folks and what better avenue than React Native Nigeria, we have loads of platform where you can connect to other members and get answers to questions you don’t have, make new friends 👬 , or just a place you can geek out on stuff and have people who actually understand what you’re saying geek out with you.

React Native Nigeria has loads of experienced developers that you can use to your advantage, with a pool of experienced developers, finding a mentor on our platform is as easy as A, B, C — All you need do is locate that person you’re certain knows more than you do and reach out to them, make your intentions clear and it’s all green from there.

Why should you as a newbie spend a week, months even searching for materials to get started in react native, we’ve done all the work for you, all you need do is join the community.

Also, we just started HOW TO, which is an extra step forward in providing content on how basic things are done in react native. An entire site would be dedicated to this and I hope you make good use of this.
