We’re more than halfway through summer, but things have been heating up here in Santa Monica. This month, we introduced some shiny new features in our new release, unveiled our all-new Community Guidelines, and just last week, over 50 guests stopped by HQ for food, fun, and drinks. We’re also sponsoring the coolest creative conference! Here’s a full rundown of what we’ve been up to:

Introducing v0.15.0
Let’s get back to the good stuff: new features! We’ve officially partnered up with Avalara and also integrated TaxCloud, two of the top tax automation and management services, to provide real-time tax calculations to our shop owners. Discounts and refunds are back as well, and emailing just got way more efficient.

For a full list of feature changes, check out our release notes. As always, we’d like to give big thanks to our contributors who worked on this release.

Guiding a Community
We recently announced the beta version of our Community Guidelines, which aims to define the values of our diverse and growing community. As we finalize the official guidelines over the next few weeks, we would love to hear from you! For additional information on how to provide feedback and suggestions, visit our forums.

Our 1st Meteor Meetup at HQ
Thanks to everyone who came out last week to our very first Meteor Meetup! It was a blast. For those of you who missed it, be sure to check out the live stream recap, and stay tuned for upcoming events.

Join Us at Likeminds
We’re sponsoring the first ever Likeminds, a weekend conference for like-minded creatives and technologists, located at an old summer camp in Beacon, NY. Join us by the campfire on August 26! To get tickets and learn more, visit Likeminds.camp.

An Update on our Beta
So far, 4,110 users and counting have signed up for the Beta release of our hosted Platform as a Service. We know that many of you are eager to get your hands on Reaction, so we appreciate your patience as we put on some finishing touches. Keep your eyes peeled for the official launch later this year. In the meantime, you can always install Reaction locally via our GitHub repo.

What Lies Ahead

For the remainder of the year, we’re looking to launch even more new product features. They include:
1. Search
2. Promo code integration
3. Transactional emails
4. Robust shipping features
… and so much more!

Get Involved

For real-time updates on our progress, check out our Features Roadmap and project board. And if you happen to stumble upon any bugs, you can report them via our GitHub issues page.

And of course, feel free to reach out us on Twitter, chat, or our forums for further discussion.
