We’ve Raised $8.5 Million in Series A and Launched Marketplace Capabilities!

Today, we’ve reached two of our biggest milestones yet.

First up: we are beyond thrilled to announce that Reaction Commerce has raised an $8.5 million Series A fund led by GV (formerly Google Ventures)! With the support of our investors, we’re gearing up for our next phase of growth: we’re significantly expanding our engineering team, continuing to attract innovative retailers and brands, and fulfilling the next steps of our product vision. And of course, we’re continuing to build new platform capabilities, which brings us to our most recent milestone.

If you’ve been following us on GitHub, you’ll know that we recently launched v 1.5.0, our biggest release ever (over 1,700 commits!). You’ll also know that we’ve officially rolled out our multi-tenant marketplace functionality, which includes features such as merchant onboarding, split order and payment processing, shop branding, and product catalog creation. As it stands, it’s the only open source out-of-the-box solution for single and multi-tenant shops.

Our Series A is a major testament to the ethos of open source, to the future of the JavaScript ecosystem, and to the strength of our community. Without your contributions, we wouldn’t be here today.
