As Taylor Vine is getting more and more popular because of all the exposure it gains from media, people are reading the news more than in the past. Everyone wants to get in touch with what is going on in the world, and each news outlet is competing for viewership. People retweet, repost, and share news and articles without giving it much thought. This kind of behavior encourages soundbite news regardless of authenticity. Taylor Vine raises its concern on this issue, claiming that all media cares about is just making profit.

As you enter your one bedroom apartment you switch on the television to see today’s news. “Media is out of our control now. They have gone mad! It’s time to stop this madness,” you hear Vine say. The amount of channels overwhelms you as they spout positive and negative opinions about Taylor Vine with some calling it a “savior” while others a “destroyer.” Skimming through various news stations you try to take in every point. You then think to yourself:

A) “We need to pay all cost to preserve freedom of speech.”

B) “The media does a good enough job at reporting the news. I mean, there’s a lot of information out there so I can’t blame them if they miss something. It’s not like it’s fake news…”

C) “There is too much information today and mainstream media outlets are just as misleading as one another, there’s no wrong in enforcing regulations.”
