Brain tumor is a neurological disease in which brain cells in a particular part of the brain start growth at an irregular pace/speed. Brain tumor is also called as brain cancer and it is just another type of cancer.
A cancer is that disease in which body cells/tissues start spreading/growing at a fast speed. This affect the health of surrounding cells and finally start killing them.
The exact cause of brain tumor is still unknown, however there are certain risk factors that have been identified by the researchers as possibly could cause the disease on reaching certain time of age. Other risk factors include radiation received at head during childhood and age is also consider as a risk factor as people over the age of 65 are diagnosed with brain cancer at a rate four times higher than younger people.
