Do I Have to Embrace Positive Thinking? Isn’t it Better to Be Realistic?
Maybe all the gurus are wrong
I have to say it, I feel sick of thinking positive all the time. I just want to scream and say that it’s not that easy, that if it were so easy people wouldn't be scouring the internet looking for solutions to all of their problems in the first place. This wouldn’t be optimistic, however and furthermore, it would not contribute to a solution.
I have so much to be grateful for that it has made me complacent. I don’t have the ticking time bomb of a deadline hanging over my head and pressing me towards burning out — trying to figure out a means to achieve my goals. There is no outside force telling me that I have to do these things “or else”.
Also, on the inside I feel fully optimistic that I can achieve this task. So I feel in some ways as if I already have. Thus reducing the urgency that I need to complete the task in a timely manner.
