Human Writers Caught by Spam Monster King
A plea to release the human writers I cherish
I have been reading pleas and stories about how so many people were imprisoned, aka suspended, by the Spam Monster King in the depths of nowhere.
How could this happen to human writers?
It’s been five days of stress and assumptions, frantically checking with fear who else was caught. This is not supposed to happen to a community of human writers.
They are my dear cherished friends, whom I read every day because I enjoy their stories, written from their hearts and mostly from their memories. Human memories. Isn’t this one of the reasons we updated to Friends of Medium? To support our favorite writers?
I didn’t even hesitate to upgrade my subscription in December 2023, as it made so much sense as a community to support each other. We also read other people’s articles, and we always discover new writers. But I am pretty sure everyone on Medium gets into a small community or through a publication. It’s how we are as humans. We usually make friends and stick together.
I am mostly an introvert, and I never thought I would get out and write this plea on a huge platform. But now I do it because I miss them so much, and Medium is not the same anymore without a cherished community…
