Oh, how I stumble, tumble, and trip,
Grace seems to always give me the slip.

From cracks in the sidewalk to rugs on the floor,
I’ve bruised every limb and then some more.

A clatter, a crash, I’m down once again,
A broken leg, I can’t seem to win.

So fetch the bubble wrap, layer it thick,
Before my other leg breaks like a stick!

Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It affects over 10 million Americans, with women being four times more likely than men to develop it due to factors like hormonal changes during menopause. When I went through menopause, I was never put on any hormone therapy. I never thought I would end up with weak and brittle bones.

Common fracture sites include the hip, spine, and wrist, often resulting from minor falls or simple movements. The bones I break most often are in my feet and legs. I’m clumsy and I trip and stumble a lot.

Another 44 million people have low bone mass, increasing their risk of osteoporosis. My bone density is currently -1.8. I’ve been told that -2.0 is full-blown osteoporosis. So for now they have diagnosed me with…
