Lion Pounced on a Pastor
Was he daring God?
Some time ago, I came across an old newspaper, dated back to the 90s.
A man of God told his congregation he wanted history to repeat itself.
If you remember the story of Daniel, who was thrown inside the Lion’s Den for his refusal to worship the king. But survived, not even a scratch on his body.
The man of God wanted to try that again. To perform another miracle to the Glory of God, I guess. He told his members; the GOD that saved Daniel from the mouth of lion will also do the same for him.
On the faithful day of the act, he dressed in his priestly robe, then marched to the zoo. How he got into the Lion’s Cage, nobody knew.
The onlookers were scared for the man’s life. I’m sure his members were hailing him.
The hungry-looking lion, from a distance, watched him. I’m sure the lion has not eaten for days. African Zoos don’t feed the wild animals well. Even if the government provided the amenities, the zookeepers would also use it for their own selfish interest. So, the animals always appear malnourished. I don’t know about now though.
So, the man of God stood like a brave hunter. The lion got tired of waiting, pounced on him, and tore him into pieces.
The question on everyone's lips was, ‘Was that faith, or did he dare God?
