The Paleo/Mediterranean diet will save your life

The study by Emory University showed that:

  • Those who ate the Paleo/Mediterranean diet have 41~51% lower all-cause mortality than those who eat the regular Western diet.
  • 12.3% of those who eat a Western diet die in the next 10 years; on the other hand, 9.6% of participants who eat a paleo diet die in the next 10 years.
  • 14.6% of those who eat the Mediterranean diet die in the next 10 years; on the other hand, 8.1% of those who eat the Mediterranean diet die in the next 10 years.

This lower risk of dying is mostly associated with the lower risk of cardiovascular diseases and, possibly, cancer.
