This Ridiculous Mistake Killed My Read Ratio

Never do the same on Medium

I decided to spend February fruitfully — to write an article a day.

But here’s the thing: I can’t concentrate on weekends when my husband hangs around me.

I solved the problem with Saturday simply — I wrote 2 articles on Friday, postponing publication until the next morning. But what to do with Sunday?

Then a “brilliant” idea came to my mind. 💡

What if I delete an article written in August after copying its text? And publish it as new?

The article was excellent and very useful. And there was only one comment under it from a girl who stopped writing a long time ago (I checked).

The most annoying thing was that I didn’t receive a single cent for it, since at that time I was not yet a member of the platform.

Decision was made. I changed the picture and breathed new life into the article by publishing it again.

With the anticipation of wonderful comments and a feeling of satisfaction, I got into the car, and we went to enjoy Sunday adventures away from home.

Already during the day, I sensed something was wrong. People interacted with my article, but there were no reads.
