You are a unique, once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon that has never been seen before.
It’s very easy for artists, especially new ones, to underestimate their own work while praising others’.
They can feel like scammers among professionals. They think, “Oh come on, who the fuck do I think I am to believe I could make art, tell stories, write books, take up space? Who even cares?”
This thought is often a result of our surroundings convincing us that only some dead dudes were real artists, validated only because history “proved them as that.”
I call bullshit!
Next time you automatically start talking down to yourself, thinking, “Who the fuck do you think you are?” think about this:

You are a unique, once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon that has never been seen before and will never be seen again. That’s how rare you are.
You have been chosen by the muses. It’s deeper than you imagine. You have been called to create – that’s why it feels so natural to you.
You are in a lineage of artists who have been creating art for centuries. You are keeping the connection between artists alive.
Never again belittle yourself like that. Never question your mission and your path. Never wonder if you are allowed to take up space.
You are the creator, the one who has been called. That’s exactly who you are and what you are meant to be doing.
