Apple will host Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on 10–14th of June.
If you are attending and it is going to be your first time, I am more than happy to provide useful information and tips.

What To Expect
The main thing to expect is iOS7 with its flat design. Let’s see what Ive prepared for us. It’s unlikely that we will see a brand new iPhone or iPad.
You can read Jim’s article about his expectations. Rene from iMore filmed the whole episode of his show talking about WWDC, you can watch it to be prepared.

General Tips
-Plan your time and meetings in advance (you can use Readdle’s Calendars+ for that)
-Stay social: WWDC is a developers conference and it is the best time to meet developers from around the world.
-Make a list of people you want to meet and tweet them, everyone is responsive in the Valley (mostly)
-Never eat alone
-Download an official WWDC app

Whom To Talk To
WWDC is a great place to meet with famous and influential journalists and bloggers. If you have a great app, hot news or anything that has value, kindly ask them for a meeting. If they agree, don’t be late, be prepared and don’t start pitching right away. Don’t try to “bribe” them with a lunch or an expensive present, which may harm your reputation. Try to reach out people at iMore, 9to5Mac, AppAdvice, TUAW, Macworld, Wired, Cnet, CBS, BI, Mashable and others.

Parties
Rivers of beer and whiskey should not keep you distracted from the main purpose. You are here to work, learn and network (although I don’t like the word “network”).
You can RSVP for the parties here.

I will be attending Smile’s, Jim’s, Push IO, Breakfast of Champions and probably a few more.

Places To Attend
San Francisco has everything you want. If it’s your first time in town, make sure to hop on a tour bus that’ll take you from the Union Square to Golden Gate.
Places like Union Square, Market Street, Wisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Golden Gate, Tiburon, famous hills, Golden Gate park with its Japanese Tea Garden are definitely worthwhile visiting. For food your should go to Buca di Beppo (good for big companies), Hog Island (best oysters in the world), Blue Bottle (famous with the tech crowd), Lulu (great burgers) and others.

I’d be happy to answer your questions and give further directions.

See you there,
Denys Zhadanov.
