- You can’t thrive in engineering if you only have a passion for science. You need to work very hard against your will.
- Don’t just shortlist universities based on their rankings. Consider it as a factor, but gather information about other universities as well before making a decision.
- Your financial situation is a big factor to be considered when choosing your university. Don’t get yourself into debt for rankings — you will regret it.
- Engineering is not all about intelligence. It’s 80 percent hard work and discipline and maybe 20 percent intelligence.
- Getting good grades is as important as anything you are going to do. Make sure you don’t miss out.
- Good grades won’t come with concepts and intuitive learning alone. It definitely involves rote learning and doing as many practice problems as you can.
- Spend more time studying alone rather than being dependent on others. Study in groups occasionally.
- If you aren’t able to get good grades, don’t give up — keep striving to improve.
- Engineering is not all about technical knowledge. It’s 90 percent communication skills and social skills…
