Has Medium Stopped Revoking Accounts?

It Looks like the Medium Staff Is Still on Holidays

Usually, it happens in the first week of every month, but this time there is complete silence from Medium. Let’s hope for the best.

I have not seen many posts about account revocation this month so far. It was a completely chaotic situation for the past few months.

So as I have talked about in many of my previous blogs, the Medium Partner Program was not available in many countries around July and August 2024.

When Medium expanded its partner program to 77 more countries, a flood of new writers came onto the platform. Most of them were inspired by those “making money online” claims.

Mostly, new accounts were not following the platform’s rules and policies, and Medium responded in a befitting way.

It was a mission clean-up for the past 2–3 months, but now it looks like the storm is somewhat settled.

Only genuine readers and writers are left on the platform. Also, especially new writers have become familiar with how things work on Medium

That’s why this month there is less noise about accounts being revoked.

I am not sure if Medium will be starting that revocation drive in the coming days or not, but as of now, it seems like things are getting better.

Let’s hope our New Year becomes a Happy New Year. We all content writers progress, support, and uplift each other.
