I lost 400 Followers on Medium Today.

But I am not sad here’s why

I think these days every day where our MPP status is not revoked seems like a blessing.

Even though joining MPP isn’t as rewarding as it used to be, it still feels like a blessing.

As it is said, every day brings with it a new set of challenges. That’s exactly right, but it wouldn’t be an understatement to say that every day for the past month, Medium has shocked writers with a new surprise, leaving them to deal with the anxiety of the unknown and God knows what.

Today was no different from what’s been happening previously. As I woke up, I saw a decline in my followers. It wasn’t a trivial 50 or 20 followers loss. (As a matter of fact, I don’t consider even these to be trivial, but being habitual to losing approximately this figure at the start of every month makes them appear that way.)

I lost 400 followers, courtesy of this surprising update. Now I have 4.2K followers, which were 4.6K previously. Honestly, at first, I felt bad and wanted to curse Medium, but upon some reflection, I realized that it’s not as bad as it appears to be.

Why?

Because I think even though it appears to be a big individual loss for me by losing 400 followers…
