Don’t overlook it
He’s going to be badgering Funeral Directors constantly and asking for work.
I was at a funeral service not long ago and one of the crematorium assistants has decided to throw his hat into the ring and become a celebrant.
That’s fine.
I don’t mind.
What I did find a bit hard to bear was that when I was at the crematorium yesterday, checking music with the FD, he handed her his business card and said
I finish here in two weeks. You can give me a call.
I was speechless at the front he had.

Seven years ago, I started work as a funeral celebrant.
The business grew steadily and last year was my busiest year to date.
But,

All of a sudden, two FDs who used to give me lots of work have either left the profession or changed company. I have no control over that.
