The Man on the Hill
Aranya was a quiet man. Not withdrawn, just still — like a lake you wouldn’t notice until you stopped beside it. In his seventies now, he lived in a small hill cottage wrapped in mist and trees. The villagers often saw him at dusk, sitting on his bench, watching the sunset like someone reading scripture.
