Why I’m thinking of shutting down my writing agency before I even started it?
These 5 mistakes almost made me give up my dream….
It was August 2024 when I had to take the step to quit my job and start freelancing.
As I started writing and helping clients, I started getting more and more work. Of course, I put in my 100%. I spent time learning my craft and learning what clients wanted. I was also professional, so clients liked that they could approach me with work and I would deliver.
Slowly, as I got more work, I realized I was not able to complete all the projects. It’s not like there was an incredible amount of work but I had taken on about 10 clients and the deliverables and deadlines would inevitably crash.
So I started hiring freelance writers and social media managers on a paid project basis. This is where the problems started creeping up and I started lagging on the deliverables. I would spend the whole day writing, then sit in the evening to edit only to realize the quality of work was sub-par and I would need to write all of them and send it over by night or early morning.
Here are the challenges I faced and I continue to struggle with these:
